The Wanderers Club

I might be biased but I had a fabulous time on Saturday at the Clubs' Sports Awards. Not only did I get to sit next to Lucas Radebe through dinner, but I also got to "interview" him on stage for 20 minutes. What a great guy! You'd think he was too humble to be a leader (although there are some who combine both qualities) but he led Leeds United through one of the most successful periods of its history. England is fortunate to have him as its ambassador for their 2018 World Cup bid. Wanderers is even more fortunate to have him involved in our Discovery Soccer Park. Expect to see more of him at the Club!

Seven people attended the discussion about the changes to the Club's Constitution, including the Club's CEO and four members of the main committee. Maybe we should have advertised a free drink? I guess one of the joys of democracy is that there's lots of stuff that nobody cares about. Oh well...
